‘Safety for All’ Strategy from Plantforce, Drives Significant Dumper Deal.

Leading National Hirer Plantforce has placed an order for £4.2m in a major site dumper fleet deal with Thwaites.

Leading National Hirer Plantforce has placed an order for £4.2m in a major site dumper fleet deal with Thwaites.

The deal which consists of 105 site dumpers, 58 of which are 9-tonne Front Tip cabbed dumpers, completes one of the largest fleet deals in recent times.

Thwaites Distributor Manager (North) Will Redman said, “We were delighted to receive this sizeable order from one of the UK’s major hirers. Planforce and distributor Molson Group have both been a real pleasure to do business with”.

New legislation regarding operator protection will come into force in the Spring of 2025. This legislation states that all site dumpers, with an unladen weight in excess of 4.5-tonne must have a production fitted cab, that is in line with ROPS and FOPS ISO 3471 & 3449.

Will Redman concluded “With the cabbed dumper legislative changes now just over a year away, this is a well-timed order from Plantforce, this early adopter order gives the company an advantageous market position from which Plantforce customers will no doubt benefit”.

Sam Mercer, Plantforce COO said; “Cabbed dumpers have often been seen as a luxury, for us, it is all about delivering our customers with the safest equipment solutions. And with “safety for all” as one of our core values, we have been running a fleet of cabbed dumpers for over 5 years now.

Although the confirmation of the upcoming change in legislation has accelerated our plans to increase the number of cabbed dumpers in our fleet, this shift has always been in our fleet investment strategy. And when looking at which manufacturer to invest with, we take many factors into consideration. This starts with what our customers think, and across construction and infrastructure sectors the feedback has always been great. We also need to deliver reliable and efficient machines to help our customers succeed, and with Thwaites dumpers, we know we will be delivering a machine that will deliver.”

With standard features such as road lights, air-con, front and rear cameras, screen guard, green and orange beacons, Thwaites cabbed dumpers are recognised as being ready for all environments and applications.

Production of the order is nearing completion and the machines will be delivered on time and in full.

The supporting image with this piece gave a rare opportunity to photograph a significant number of Thwaites 9-tonne cabbed dumpers in one place, at one time. The shot was well planned with the resulting image, we trust, giving a cabbed dumper line up picture worthy of the deal.
